52 - week 10 - Lucky
This week's project 52 assignment was "Lucky." Nick says we are the luckiest parents in the world for having the easiest child imaginable. Caden is what gets me out of bed in the morning and what keeps me from coming unglued. He's the air I breathe in each morning as I give him my good morning hug. He's the warmth in my heart when he stops what he's doing to come over and give me a kiss unprompted. I can take him anywhere, show him anything, and he will remain calm, pleasant and blissfully happy. He's literally never once cried or caused a scene in public (14 months going strong. Hopefully this won't jinx that) and pretty much everywhere we go people come over to tell me they "can't believe" how well behaved he is. He is the biggest blessing/lucky charm in my world and I am forever grateful he is in my life. We go on "special outings" at least twice a week and this past Tuesday I took him to the Dallas Arboretum. He gushed over all the pretty flowers and as we casually strolled through the gardens I closed my eyes, felt the warm breeze on my cheeks, inhaled the fresh air and said a little prayer of thanks that I am the luckiest girl in the world.
